Angel Feather of Dreams is by Inspirational Artists Stephey & Claudette Baker
May you listen to your longing to be free.
May the frames of your belonging be large enough for the dreams of your soul.
May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart that something good is going to happen to you.
May you find a harmony between your soul and your life. ~ John O'Donohue
"Angel Feather of Dreams" is an original 6” x 6” monotype created on archival arches watercolor paper.
Monotyping is a type of printmaking made by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The surface, was historically a copper etching plate. Keeping with that tradition this monotype was created using a copper plate. The image was then transferred onto a sheet of paper by pressing the two together, using a printing-press.
Monotypes can also be created by inking an entire surface and then, using brushes or rags, removing ink to create a subtractive image, e.g. creating lights from a field of opaque colour. Each impression is then worked over by hand, using ink and watercolour.
Monotypes are known as the most painterly method among the printmaking techniques.
The characteristic of this method is that no two prints are alike. However, images can be similar, but editioning is not possible.
We can't think of a better process to honor all that is sacred in the human heart. Each feather is unique, like a fingerprint and is intended to remind you that you too are an original piece of art—your fingerprint proves it!
May this Angel Feather remind you to believe in your dreams.
